Cassie & Genare | Iron Clad | Wamego, Kansas Wedding

Cassie and Genare's Wedding was at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wamego, Kansas with the reception held at Iron Clad.  Cassie and Genare were super sweet with each other and everyone they were interacted with.  I was able to shoot their engagement pictures last fall and I was very excited to capture their wedding day as well!

The day started off with the ladies getting their hair and make-up done at Family Haircutters in Wamego. The morning was pretty relaxed and after hair and make-up were done we headed to Cassie's house so they could get changed for the big day! Once everyone was dressed we took a few pictures outside before we headed to the church.

It was a little warm on their wedding day with a heat index around 113 degrees and it being the hottest day of the summer so far, but Cassie and Genare and their bridal party handled taking pictures outside like champs! It may have helped that the faster we got pictures done they could head back into the AC!  Besides, it being really warm it was a beautiful day!

Cassie and Genare--Thanks so much for letting me capture your wedding day! It was such a fun day! I wish you guys the best of luck in  whatever you do! Best wishes on your marriage! :)

Cassidy and Jed's Wedding was held outside in Cassidy's family pasture in the hills where you could see for miles around you.  It was a beautiful day.  I was able to take Cassidy and Jed's engagement pictures in the same pasture about 10 months ago and when they said they were going to be getting married out here also, I was very excited because it is so pretty!

It was a pretty relaxed day, and it ended up being a super nice evening which was great since the wedding and reception were both outside.  We took a few pictures before the ceremony and it was a little warm, but it cooled off nicely for the ceremony and for pictures afterward.

After the ceremony was over and we were taking pictures, Cassidy and Jed asked if we could go and take some pictures with some cows and so we hopped on a ranger and went to get some sunset pictures with some cows!  I'm glad we were able to get some pictures with the cows because they are some of my favorites!!

Cassidy and Jed--Thanks so much for having me be apart of your wedding day! I loved being able to capture your special day! It was a beautiful day!!

This family is super sweet and I'm so glad I was able to take pictures for them! During the week I get to watch the twins and every so often I get to watch their older sister as well.  Its been super fun getting to watch the twins grow and develop their own personalities. It was a rather warm evening when we took these pictures, but the heat didn't stop us from getting some pretty cute pictures! :)

Emily & David | Topeka Performing Arts Center | Topeka, KS Wedding

Emily and David's Wedding at the Topeka Performing Arts Center in Topeka, Kansas a few weeks again was very sweet and very them!  Emily and I went to school together all throughout grade school to junior high to high school.  She was a year older than me, but we definitely spent plenty of time together whether it was with all the different sports and activities in high school or just hanging out on the weekends.

Emily and David met at Highland Community College where they were both apart of Lads and Lassies, a singing group at Highland.  They are both pretty talented in the musical department! :) I remember meeting David and seeing him and Emily together and thinking they complemented each other very well.  They both have a love for music and being on stage, which when they told me their wedding was going to be at the Performing Arts Center in Topeka; I thought it suited them both very well!

Their wedding day was such a beautiful day; it may have been a little on the warm side, but there was no wind or rain! Emily and David are such a fun-loving couple who share many of the same interests and know how to make each other laugh, which was great!

When I arrived Emily was getting ready with her bridesmaids in the make-up room behind the stage.  There were lots of lights, which was super fun! The flow of the day was very smooth and relaxing.  As, I was taking a few detail pictures by the stage, David comes out with a couple of his groomsmen and asks if I had seen anyone come in here because they were playing hide-and-seek!  What a fun thing to do before you have your first look with your bride!

I'm glad they asked me to be apart of their special day! Congrats again Emily and David!

Emily and David--Thanks so much for letting me be apart of your wedding day! I had a lot of fun! Hope you guys had a great time in Colorado! Wish you guys nothing but the best! :)

Alex & John | Maternity | Anneberg Park | Manhattan, Kansas

On Sunday, I got to take pictures of my cousin, Alex and her husband John who are expecting GIRL TWINS in August!  It was a lot of fun walking around Anneberg Park with them and how excited they are for their girls to be here soon!  The weather in Manhattan, was a little strange on Sunday, it would go from the sun brightly shining one moment to pouring rain the next, but luckily all of the rain ended around 5:45-6:00pm and we were able to get pictures done!
